division, is a plumbing and heating as well as fire
protection products distributor-wholesaler. It has
8 outlets, two with showrooms. Deschênes &
Fils Montréal also has 2 divisions, Doraco-Noiseux
with 2 outlets and Industries C.F.H. with one.
Deschênes & Fils Ltée was created
from the acquisition of Langelier et Fils in 1940
by François Miville-Deschênes.
It is in 1977 that Deschênes & Fils opens
its first two branches located in Laval and St-Hyacinthe.
Other branches are opened in Saint-Hubert in 1986,
Point-Claire in 1988, Sherbrooke in 1989 and Joliette
in 1999.
In 1980, the company acquires 100% of L.N. &
J.E. Noiseux Limitée's shares, a one-hundred
year old Montréal plumbing and heating wholesaler.
In 1987, the enterprise acquires Industries CFH
Ltée, a fire protection product distributor.
In 1988, expansion work is carried out at the St-Michel
location.
At the beginning of 1994, the enterprise acquires
major interests in Doraco Inc., a plumbing wholesaler
in Montréal-Nord.
Doraco Inc is acquired in its entirety in 1996 and
is merged with L.N. & J.E. Noiseux Limitée
to become Doraco-Noiseux, division of Deschênes
& Fils Ltée, a wholesaler and retailer
with now 2 business locations.
Industries C.F.H. Ltée's operations are integrated
in Deschênes & Fils Ltée, Montréal
division, in October 1999.
In June 2000, the Doraco-Noiseux showroom located
in Montréal-Nord is replaced by a new showroom
on l'Acadie Blvd. in Montréal.
On February 23, 2004, the Doraco-Noiseux outlet
on Notre-Dame St. moves to St-Patrick St. and becomes
a branch under the name Deschênes & Fils
Ltée.
On August 2, 2004, Deschênes & Fils Ltée
opens a new branch in St-Jérôme.
On May 28, 2007 Deschênes & Fils Ltée moves its main business place on Jarry St. |
