Desco Plumbing and Heating Supply Inc. is a plumbing,
heating, air-conditioning and Waterworks systems
distributor-wholesaler. This subsidiary has 13 outlets,
2 with a showroom operating under the name of The
Water Closet.
Deschênes Group Inc. accesses the Toronto
market in 1990 when buying Rocamora Bros Canada
Inc.'s assets and expands its presence in Ontario
in 1991 through the acquisition of Triangle Plumbing
and Heating Supply Inc. which has 6 outlets in Northern
and Eastern Toronto.
In 1992, Rocamora and Triangle are merged to become
in 1993 Desco Plumbing and Heating Supply Inc. which
moved into a newly acquired and renovated building.
In July 1994, following the bankruptcy of an important
plumbing wholesaler, Deschênes Group Inc.
buys three branches of the division J.B. Allen located
in Goderich, Hanover and Kitchener, Ontario and
incorporates them into Desco Plumbing and Heating
Supply Inc. Other branches are opened in June 1997
in Oshawa, in September 1997 in London and in October
1998 in Cambridge.
In July 1998, Desco Plumbing and Heating Supply
Inc. launches its The Water Closet concept for its
showrooms.
On May 10, 2004, Desco moves its main business place
from 56 Brockport Drive to 65 Worcester Road.
On August 27, 2004, Desco moves its Peterborough
outlet.
On October 2, 2006, Desco opens a new outlet in Woodstock, Ontario.
On November 24, 2008, Desco moves its Kitchener
outlet.
